Welcome to Kishore's Home Page
Hi, I'm glad you dropped by for a moment, nice to see you! Here are some reflections, meanderings and magical moments in the 30 years or so I have spent with my Guru, Sri Chinmoy. Mostly they are photos for now, because sometimes they say more that words ever could. My Guru is the most special part of my life. You could say that life only really began for me when we found each other.
My
impersonation of Steve McQueen in 'The Great Escape'-riding bikes for
me was always just that, and on this occasion in Thailand exploring the
countryside.
We
had just run up a mountain in Nepal about 2000 metres high, with no
thought about how cold it would be on top or who had brought the picnic
lunch (nobody, of course). This amazing moment was captured with us
standing on top of the mountain, looking across to Everest and
Anapurna, with prayer flags fluttering in the breeze. It reminds me of
a dream I once had. Guru told me to 'run across the Himalayas'. Wow,
what an adventure! It was in the days when I was running crazy, and
naturally I started planning the trip straight away. Then I got the
inspiration to check the accuracy of the inner message. Guru's response
came back: 'I meant to run inwardly, not literally!' Best laid plans .
. .
Right: Spot the real swami!
Left: We had
heard that Gorakshanath meditated in a cave in the near-by hills and so
we were exploring with a view to doing some heavy meditating.
Guru is walking in deep meditation, we are singing soulfully; I could get used to wearing the lungi.
