I moved to Australia just before my fifth birthday, and now live in Melbourne.

When I was young I would tell people that I wanted to be an astronaut or a skin diver – I was always fascinated by the idea of other worlds. I have always dreamed that our whole world is like a garden, with beautiful trees and flowers and natural features, and each different part of the world, with its unique languages and cultures, is like a new area with surprises all of its own. I love hearing about different customs and beliefs, trying to say something (and no doubt making a total fool of myself) in someone else’s language, and just having fun. I joined the  Sri Chinmoy Centre in 1987.
