Phew!! Finally after weeks of diligently scanning the inspiration websites I have plucked up the courage of kicking off my personal homepage on this website.
Hi!! My name is
Muslim and I was born in Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay), India in October
1980. I spent most of my life in good old Bombay before coming to New Zealand in
the beginning of 2003 to study my Masters in Management. I don’t know what
exactly prompted me to choose New Zealand as the country to study my Masters,
but I do know that out of all the choices I have made in life that one has
turned out to be by far the best one. One that has definitely altered the way my
life-river would otherwise have flown. For it was within three months of
arriving in this beautiful city of Auckland that I was offered a flyer to come
to a meditation class. I was so inspired by the classes and the idea of
meditation that I couldn’t imagine how I had survived those 22 years without
practicing it.
I have been a member of the Sri Chinmoy Centre in Auckland for just short of two years now. My love for the outdoors and sport has been well met through regular games and weekends exploring this magnificient country. I am a great soccer and tennis fan and among other activities have also started to play the flute in recent months.
Meditation has completely enriched and enlarged my life. It has lifted my exsistence from potentially ordinary to one that is ever transcending and expanding.
In the weeks to come, I shall add short stories and experiences of my life in India and New Zealand.
