I must begin my life
Once again
By dreaming the impossible.

More Rose Poems

by Sri Chinmoy

God is always eager
To unfold my heart-rose petals
Lovingly and compassionately.
*
May each breath of mine
Be the fragrance of
A morning rose.
*
If your meditations
Are blue-gold silences of love;
Then you will, without fail,
Have a silver-rose heart of joy.
*
If it is real Truth,
Then it will always remain
Fresh like the morning rose.
*
The key to God's Heart-Kingdom
Can be found
Inside your heart's
Rose-purity-garden.
*
My Lord Supreme,
Do make me my soul-bird's
Rose-fragrance.
*
If I could start my life
Once more,
I would every day become
A new morning rose
In the garden of the universe.
*
The seeker's offering
Of an iota of gratitude to God
Is as beautiful as a rose
Held by God in His own Hand.
*
Aspire, aspire, O seeker!
One day
God's Rose-Smile
Will grow
In your heart-garden.
*
When we offer a rose
To someone,
Its beauty and fragrance
Secretly remain with us.
*
I enter into my mind-jungle
To paint it with rose-purity-colours.
I enter into my heart-garden
To paint it with lotus-divinity-colours.
*
Heaven is so far from the human mind,
But the heart is extremely close.
Heaven commands the mind to halt its journey,
And calls the heart its rose.
*
My soul's sunlit path
Is beautifully covered
With my heart's rose petals.
*
My prayerful thoughts
Are always cradled
In the petals of rose-beauty.
*
God has shown me
Obstacle-thorns
Only to make me long for
Progress-roses.
*
All human beings are roses
Inside my heart-garden.
Their sweetness-fragrance
Is my oneness-satisfaction-peace.
*
He who sees the beauty
Of his inner rose
And he who smells the fragrance
Of his inner rose
Cannot be torn
By the thorns of human life.
When we offer a rose
to someone,
Its beauty and fragrance
secretly remain with us.
