Pranlobha: Pianist, Composer, Photographer, Sprinter, Artist, Cook, Outdoor Fanatic, Guitarist, Retired Actress, Writer, Podcaster, Waitress, Flautist, Fashion Stylist (haha..), Scientist, Poet, Drummer, Website Designer and House cleaner for my family. Somehow I like doing chores. And the list goes on... Seattle, Washington: The city where it rains all the time. But in a thoroughly unique and endurable way.
Hey! I'm Pranlobha from the Seattle Sri Chinmoy Centre. I've been a member since age 7, and my mom and brother are members as well. A lot of
members that aren't from America ask where Seattle is exactly, so
here's a brief explanation: New York is on the East coast of America and
Seattle (in Washington state) is on the West coast. They're about 3,000 miles
apart. Seattle's pretty much the best city ever made. It seems that God has
blessed us with rain, rather than played a prank; the landscape is so
green and fresh. It really is an inspiring city.
Anyway...Enough about
how great Seattle is.
Besides being a member of the Sri Chinmoy Centre, I enjoy all manifestations of art. These include photography, music (composing and performing classical/new age on the piano) and artwork. I enjoy performing and offering my work to other Centre Members when I can, in hopes to offer them the joy and inspiration I receive while creating it. I love listening to Sri Chinmoy perform on various different instruments, particularly piano, since that's what I play as well. His artistic creations are a continous source of inspiration and encouragement to me.

I also like to sing informally, and I'm a member of a children's singing group led by New York Centre member Bileena. I love performing in this group for Sri Chinmoy and other members twice a year.
I love being a member of the Sri Chinmoy Centre. I can't believe how much more fulfilling my life is when I do my best to put God ahead of anything else in my life. It's amazing when you find joy in those little things that might otherwise be taken for granted.
Okay, enough serious stuff. Life's good. Let's just keep progressing and aspiring for humanity!

Pranlobha News Spot:
April 2006: As of April 27th I've been learning guitar! I'm trying to learn how to play as many instruments as possible. So I'm also teaching myself flute and drums. I want to be able to play music with whatever instruments are available, wherever I am.
May 2006: The 19th of May was my 18th birthday! Also I was honored with a new name given to me by Sri Chinmoy on May 31st. Pranlobha: The exquisite beauty of the aspiration-heart.
June and July 2006: I spent a month helping organize and prepare the "Sri Chinmoy Performs" Philadelphia concert during May and early June. It was an incredible and highly enjoyable experience and the concert was a great success, with a crowd of 5,000+. I also worked on the Self-Transcendence 3,100 Mile Race for two weeks, and learned so much about running! Working on
the race was a beautiful experience as well.
August 2006: I performed in the August 2006 Classical Concert, marking my third year in a row. I play piano, and performed a Chopin Nocturne. I also had started sprinting in July, and was able to compete in a couple of private races for the first time in August. It turns out I love sprinting, and plan on continuing from now on.
September 2006: I increased my days working at our Sri Chinmoy Centre enterprise in Seattle, Silence-Heart-Nest Vegetarian Restaurant. I love working there and have been working as a short-order cook, waitress, and food prep cook.
October 2006: Now that I've been working more, I'm also trying to continue with my music, sprinting and photography on my time off. But I'm not complaining at all! I never get tired of practicing them, and I think having less time for pursuing prevents me from resenting the routine schedule I would have otherwise.
