Recently at the Sri Chinmoy vegetarian restaurant in Brisbane 'My Heart Garden', we had a reservation for dinner from a group of forty one Seventh-Day Adventists.
It turned out to be a 50th birthday party for one of women members. They were a very warm group chatting and laughing for many hours over dinner.
As the evening drew to a close I was beginning to clear the tables and had a chance to chat to some of the men. They were saying that nearly all present had spent time overseas as missionaries in countries such as - Mongolia, Sth Africa, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.
I then mentioned Sri Chinmoy's humanitarian aid program, Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles. They were very interested in our world-wide efforts to alleviate the plight of the suffering in so many countries. They were particularly interested in our methods of collection, transportation and distribution of donated items. We are all looking forward to chatting again at their next dinner booking.
