I recall an amusing incident with Sri Chinmoy and many of his students at a recent celebration in New York..
At the end of a particular evening function Sri Chinmoy's students were queuing for prasad (a specially prepared meal). Normally when there is such a large gathering the older students take theirs before the younger members. I was standing beside the slowly moving queue of older women as they were leaving when one of the enthusiastic younger boys said light heartedly, "I wish the old girls would hurry up!". At that moment one of the 'old girls' turned around and quipped, "and did YOU just finish the marathon?" I know this particular women fairly well and she happens to be eighty three years of age and she did just complete the marathon - a timely lesson for the younger student!
