Sri Chinmoy teaches the path of the heart, and I am fortunate indeed to be meditating under his guidance. One of the reasons I am inspired to write is to give some testament as to what it is like to be a student of a spiritual Master; there are not many first-hand accounts of the teacher-student relationship to be found at all. You can find out more about Sri Chinmoy on this site....

On my visits to see Sri Chinmoy in his New York home, I try to write a daily diary describing what's going on inwardly and outwardly: I did one in November 2005 and another in April 2006 . The diary of my November 2006 visit is now available on my blog...

I havent been posting entries here for a while - that's because I've been rather occupied with my new baby, shanemagee.com . Like any other child, it demands all your attention - regular feeding with blog entries, incessant demands for the latest add-ons and plug-ins, and constant complaining that it doesnt look as smart as all the other kids and that I haven't redesigned the theme in aaages. But you have to love it anyway.

However, I've always enjoyed entering into the beautiful peaceful atmosphere of this site in order to add to my blog, so the stream of entries to this blog certainly won't dry up completely....

Hi Shane,

I am very happy to see you have your own blog, I look forward to your many entries.

I'm not a great fan of the light blue background though, it makes it difficult for me to read.
