Yaaaay! Shane's Homepage!

I believe the title reflects the dignified manner in which I intend to conduct this website. Lots of sleep-inducing high-brow intellectual discussion, fire-and-brimstone sermons aplenty, and NO SMILING OR LAUGHING WHATSOEVER! Let's see how long I can keep it up.....

As you can see from the photo on the right, I'm holding up quite well so far, thanks in no small part to the company I'm keeping...


Lounging Around

Oh dear, things seem to have fallen apart somewhat. We sent Socrates to get the chocolate ice-cream, and never heard from him again. Power corrupts, but ice-cream corrupts absolutely.


As you can no doubt see from the photos, I actually inhabit two bodies (both decked out in nifty blue jackets): the nefarious-looking one seated on the left is Dr Jekyll, and the saintly mild-mannered one on the right is called Mr Hyde. (actually the one on the left is my brother Colm, who is also a student of Sri Chinmoy)

Anyway. Let me introduce myself (and make a belated attempt to assure you of my sanity). I'm Shane, and I've been in the Dublin Sri Chinmoy Centre for a little over two years now. I probably wouldn't be here if I hadn't come across inspiring accounts by people from all shades of the spectrum describing their spiritual journey, so this is my attempt to pay a little fraction of that debt back by offering some accounts of my own...
