Spirituality has been the only method to clear my road in the maze of life. Doors that were invisible have opened wide and shown a world that offers sincere satisfaction.
Hi! My name is Shobhavati and I am a member of the Sri Chinmoy Centre in
Christchurch, New Zealand.
Being in the centre has given me a sense of hope in myself and the world around me. Without conscious spirituality I kept losing my footing. I did not realise that a spiritual path could have so much diversity and opportunities to make progress.
One thing I really appreciate about the Sri Chinmoy Centre is that it encompasses the ancient wisdom, such as meditation and prayer, with modern lifestyle, such as running and living a 'normal' life.
Before I started practising meditation my favourite thing to do was travel. I lived and worked in different countries and moved on when I felt like it. I worried that I would become bored if I simply lived in my home town of Christchurch, but actually I still travel all the time and feel secure in having a base here.
As I keep adding to my site I hope to clarify that being on a spiritual path and having a teacher, such as Sri Chinmoy, is fun and empowering. It is also completely unique for each person which is something that many people may not preconceive. Experiences and opportunities are a continuous flow and like a lotus with a million petals, each experience-petal is different and offers it's own beauty and fragrance.
