A free summer concert in the beautiful beautiful and historical Nurses Chapel in Christchurch Women's Hospital. An opportunity to relax, meditate and immerse yourself in the meditative compositions of Sri Chinmoy, performed by members of the New Zealand and Australian Sri Chinmoy Centres on a variety of instruments from around the world. Sublime music with a unique blend of Eastern and Western traditions...a must for all lovers of vocal music.

Specialising in the compositions of Sri Chinmoy, a musical and spiritual luminary whose 18,000 compositions have profoundly influenced many contemporary musicians and established him as the most prodigious composer in history.

The singers are all students of Sri Chinmoy, studying both music and meditation from their teacher and interpreting his music in a unique blend of Eastern and Western musical styles. Many of the songs are poems, at times contemplative and haunting—at other times dynamic and powerful. All deal with the inner journey.

Since 1984, Sri Chinmoy, a gifted artist, author, musician and athlete has performed his prayerful music free of charge, at over 700 concerts worldwide The power and beauty of Maestro Sri Chinmoy’s music will envelop you in an uplifting experience of tranquility, fulfillment and joy.

Sri Chinmoy's aphorisms providing a visual meditative experience, you will be transported into a world of peace, beauty and delight.
