I was very inspired by Guru's stories about how he would find pennies on the street during his walks and offer gratitude to Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity. I love pennies and quite often find them while running, but I never thought to offer my gratitude to Lakshmi, although she has always been most kind to me. So I offered a moment of gratitude and ran out to go rollerskating with some other girls.
We were rollerskating around a parking lot when I suddenly felt compelled to go to a different corner. To my greatest surprise, I found a sea of over fifty pennies, plus a few nickels and dimes. We gathered up these "Blessings from Lakshmi" and put them in our pockets, and later we gave them to Guru. Now every time I find a penny, I offer gratitude to Guru and Lakshmi.
