The X-ray Showed Nothing

In the summer of 1997, Sri Chinmoy encouraged me to take tennis lessons from disciples at the Tennis Court. Previously I had had tendinitis in my right wrist, and it hurt sometimes, but I played anyway. After a few weeks, Guru decided to play against some of the children. I lost my match, 8-love. My wrist hurt quite badly, but a little pain was not going to stop me from playing tennis with my Guru. I continued to play with the pain until one day when I was working on my serve with my tennis-teacher Malati, I felt a sharp pain and something snapped in my wrist. Guru asked a disciple-nurse to look at it and, by feeling around, we found a bone in my arm with a piece missing. Guru said to go immediately and get an X-ray. Four hours later, we were still waiting in line. I was on the verge of tears. I prayed, "Please, Guru, I just want to get to the meditation this evening." Next thing you know, they called me in because they had a few minutes between patients. The X-ray showed nothing! When we felt around again, the bone was fine.
