Entirely Possible

Quite a few years ago, when I was a new disciple, I went to Madal Circus with my ten-year-old daughter Chloe. During intermission, Chloe suddenly said to me, "Mum, you know I was born in France, but I do not even know the French patriotic song. Please teach it to me. I would be so happy." Chloe had been just a baby when we moved from France to Quebec, but we had just returned from a visit to our native land to see our family, so she was feeling some patriotic connection with her birthplace. I had never been a very patriotic person, coming from the flower power generation. I told her, "Oh no, it is a horrible song full of blood and murders. It is better for a little girl to learn songs of love and peace." She was a bit disappointed, but she felt my sincerity and said only, "Oh, it is too bad." The words were just out of her mouth when Guru suddenly began to sing "La Marseillaise", the famous French patriotic song! Chloe said, "Mum, if Guru is singing it, it cannot be a bad song, so you must teach it to me." Then she puzzled in silence for a few minutes and asked if Guru had possibly heard our thoughts. I explained that Guru does not need to be near us to know what we are saying or thinking, so this was entirely possible.
