Guru Knew

About two months after I became a disciple of Sri Chinmoy, the doctors examined me and found that I had a kind of cancer. I was told that it was very serious, that I would need to take a lot of drugs and that I had to get ready for an operation. At first I was quite scared, but then I decided not to pay any attention to my disease, because inwardly I felt very strongly that I had to rely on Guru and let the Supreme's Will, no matter what it was, be fulfilled. I did not take any drugs and never went to the oncology centre. Some disciples who knew about my illness advised me to write a letter to Guru, but I felt absolutely no need to do so, because I felt that Guru knew everything already. I actually forgot to even think about my illness. Two or three years later when I went to the hospital, they made me undergo a full examination. It was a surprise for the doctors when they did not find any sign of the illness. But I was not surprised at all, because I knew to whom I should be grateful for my miraculous recovery.
